The Wedding Feast at Cana

Jesus Makes Capernaum His Headquarters

Jesus, his mother, and his disciples had been invited to a marriage feast in the city of Cana. When they ran out of wine Mary spoke to Jesus about it. He said his time had not come yet, but he obliged and told the servants to fill the large pots with water.

Jesus then told them to draw some out and take it to the governor of the feast. The man was surprised at the quality of the wine he tasted. It was better than any wine they had served so far.

This was the beginning of the miracles Jesus would perform during the next three years.
