Designed by an experienced piano teacher, the Progressive Pianist is a comprehensive method that gives you the tools to be able to read and play any style of music, from classical to popular. It takes you from beginning fundamentals to musical competency. All pieces are demonstrated on cassette tapes which include fully orchestrated accompaniments. Every lesson includes written theory practice to reinforce music concepts, and finger exercises which are assigned to stretch and strengthen the finger muscles. Online help is available at any time as students work through the course. Part Two is divided into three sections: Section 1: The Performance Pieces; Section 2: The Theory Worksheets; Section 3: The Finger Exercises Each lesson consists of a performance piece and the corresponding theory worksheet. Finger exercises should be learned as directed on the lesson pages. Each level of the Progressive Pianist contains enough material to be the equivalent of about one year of lessons. There is only one song per lesson, but there are a lot of piano exercises and written music theory exercises. It includes a spiral-bound student workbook, a spiral-bound Answer Key, and two audio cassettes. It comes in a sturdy plastic case. |
