Alexander Graham Bell and Elsie May Bell Grosven

This photograph which was taken in 1917 shows seventy-year-old Alexander Graham Bell in front of his parents' home in Brantford, Ontario. With him is his oldest daughter Elsie May. She married Gilbert Grosvenor who was the editor of the National Geographic Magazine which was started by Bell and his father-in-law. They set up the National Geographic Society in 1888. Elsie May and Gilbert had two sons and five daughters.
